The League of Bicycling Voters is Austin's voice for bicyclists. LOBV is a nonprofit advocacy organization promoting better policy decisions and more resources to
increase the number of bicyclists in the Austin area.
We won! All of our endorsed candidates for Mayor and City Council won on May 9. In particular, thanks to all the LOBV members who helped out with or donated to the Chris Riley campaign. It was a great moment indeed for the future of bicycling in Austin.
Also...Please see the info below on next week's council hearing on the Bike Plan. We need a huge turnout to show the City Council we are an active and dedicated community of bicyclists. (And to bury the ramblings of naysayers like this: http://www.statesman.com/opinion/content/editorial/stories/05/11/0511stone_edit.html)
And for a visual impact, please consider donning a LOBV T-shirt. Order one now to allow for shipping time!
